Refund Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Melanie Goldstone Design, I keep things simple and fair. Here’s how refunds and cancellations work:

Payment Structure

Projects are billed in four stages:

  • First payment (25%) to secure your spot in my calendar and start the wireframe and copy
  • 25% at the start of design
  • 25% at the start of development
  • 25% balance on completion, before launch

Cancellation

You can cancel your project at any time. If you do, you pay for the work completed up to that point.

  • The first payment is non-refundable — it covers your place in my calendar and the initial work done before design begins.
  • If you’ve paid for a stage that I’ve completed or started, that payment stands.
  • If you’ve paid in advance for a stage I haven’t yet started, you’re entitled to a refund of that amount.

Refunds

Refunds are only given when work hasn’t been delivered. If you’ve paid for something I haven’t done yet, you get that money back.

Refunds are not given because you’ve changed your mind about the design, your business, or the project after work has been completed. Three rounds of revisions are included in every project, and I work closely with you throughout to make sure you’re happy with the direction before moving to the next stage.

Inactive Projects

If I don’t hear from you for 30 days, the project is considered cancelled. To restart, a new first payment will apply, and pricing may need to be revisited.

Late Payments

Final invoices are due within 30 days of presentation. Your website will not be launched until the final balance is paid. Overdue accounts may incur interest.

Questions?

If you’re ever unsure about a charge or a refund, just reach out — I’d rather sort it out directly than have anyone feeling stuck.
